Soulcedar farm operates With the Earth in mind

SoulCedar Farm is a small scale, holistic farm located on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. Sage Coy and Max Evans, couple and co-owners, believe in the importance of nourishing food and of reciprocal relationships between people, plants and land. These fundamentals fuel the body, mind and spirit, with access to wholesome food as the root of healthy human growth. SoulCedar Farm strives to bolster local food systems and contribute to community health through their line of shelf stable ‘Shrubs’ (or sipping vinegars), specialty batch canned goods, and herbal infusions. Sage and Max grow and forage as much produce for their products as possible, and hope to support other local farms by sourcing close to home for the rest.

From the Earth,

for the body

The farming philosophy at SoulCedar Farm is rooted in the belief that every aspect of an ecosystem must be considered in order to nourish the whole. Healthy farming has the ability to feed not only human beings, but all who participate in the growth cycle; strong soil fosters flowers, flowers perpetuate pollinators, pollinators enable fruiting, fruiting feeds, feeding fertilizes. The cycle begets itself. Regenerative agriculture cannot neglect any of these elements.

SoulCedar Farm is currently focused on cultivating a young, healthy orchard (maintained with no-till practices), building topsoil and enriching the soil in the main field through thoughtful cover-cropping, and managing the forest after replanting it with native Fir and Cedar trees. While they are not certified organic, SoulCedar Farm utilizes organic methods. No pesticides. No herbicides. All natural.
